Edinburgh Infectious Diseases has three critical aims. First, representing the strengths of infectious disease science in Edinburgh through symposia, workshops, outreach activity and internet profile. Second, maintaining a strategic overview of infectious disease research in Edinburgh to maximise synergy between established activities and to promote new avenues for investigation. Third, fostering infectious disease teaching and training at all levels within the University, including the development of new postgraduate initiatives.
