The Edinburgh Earth Initiative actively supports students who have an idea for a business or social enterprise that could help our climate.
We support students at the University of Edinburgh that are leading the way in defining a new era of business. Working with Edinburgh Innovations’ Student Enterprise Services team, we host an annual support programme of business idea competitions, training and development opportunities and other activities to help students tackle climate change through being an entrepreneur.

We run a series of climate entrepreneurship events throughout the year. At these events, you will hear about some amazing students from the University of Edinburgh who are actively coming up with solutions to the climate crisis with their businesses.
Our Edinburgh Climate Innovators series will kick off in October, with several other events across the semester.

Startup Summer Accelerator
The Edinburgh Earth Initiative is proud to sponsor Edinburgh Innovation’s Startup Summer Accelerator. This 12 week programme provides sustainable student businesses with funding, masterclass, and expertise to help grow their businesses over the summer.
